Katerina Evagelou is a multidisciplinary artist, whose work unfolds through film, performance, writing and space installation. By combining different media, she constructs immersive realities to be experienced. Writing often initiates her process, sometimes in collaboration with other writers, while the camera serves as a tool, both for observing and revealing her surroundings. Her films are frequently structured around oral narration, hers and others’. The practice of performance, whether vocal or on-screen, allows her presence to materialize and transform within the work. Multisensory installations create physical spaces for audiences to engage through sight, hearing, smell, and touch.

 Thematically she is interested in expressing and exploring her, as well as a common, feminine experience in relation to natureculture dynamics. The body, usually her own, is a key starting point for her practice, often inspired by myth, folklore and surreal imagery. Within her narratives, humans engage with natural or abandoned spaces through reclamation or reconnection. They simply observe or exist in them, and even transform into new beings, as a response to ecological crises and patriarchal structures. She questions about the perception of space, and explores the connection or disconnect between body and environment. Finally, incorporating ritualistic practices/ either conceptual or enacted, serves as a practical need, an outlet-release, a manifestation. 

Katerina Evagelou (b. 2000, Greece) is a graduate of the Athens School of Fine Arts (10th Painting Studio, 2018–2024), her practice investigates the interplay of space, materiality, and sensory experience, often merging visual storytelling with tactile and atmospheric elements.

She has participated in exhibitions including Unpredictable Waters, curated by Louisa Vergozisi and Anna Stroulia (2025 Milies, Pelion) and Dental Chambers, curated by Iro Drosos, Tyr and Olivia Thaleia (2024, Athens). Her film projects include AFTER DEATHS (2025), a documentary project, encompassing writing, directing, cinematography, and editing; th1rt33n m00ns (2025), a cinepoem where she contributed writing, cinematography, editing, and voice-over, in collaboration with composer and sound producer Panagiotis Rousseas; and The Wooden Dear (2024), co-written and co-produced with the director Anastasis Panagis Meletis, in which she also performed the lead role.

Currently, she is deepening her exploration of cinematic storytelling, set design, and immersive environments. She is preparing to apply for postgraduate studies in film, seeking opportunities to deepen her narrative and cinematic exploration while bridging her background in fine arts with the world of experimental and sensory cinema.
